New York, NY, United States (AHN) – While awaiting trial in New York, former International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn will temporarily live in a ritzy Tribeca townhouse worth about $14 million. The New York Judge handling the sexual assault charges filed by a hotel maid against Strauss-Kahn allowed the transfer of the former IMF chief from Manhattan. Residents of the Lower Manhattan apartment complained about Strauss-Kahn’s presence in their building, which prompted his wife to scout for another abode. According to a listing, the three-story Tribeca luxury townhouse built in 1915 has an area of 6,804 square feet. It has four bedrooms, a high-tech home theater, gym, spa steam bath and bar. Private vs. Public Operation of Juvenile Correctional Facilities
Product DescriptionArmstrong studies the environmental quality of confinement in private and public juvenile correctional facilities using data from 48 facilities, representing 4,590 delinquents, 1,362 staff, and 48 administrators in 19 states (16 private and 32 public facilities). Her results demonstrate that neither staff nor juvenile delinquents perceived the environmental quality to be significantly different between private and public facilities. Further, compared to public facilities, private facilities were smaller, newer and had a more intensive admission process for juvenile delinquents. Public and Private correctional staff differed significantly on age and prior work experience. Differences in the juvenile populations were minimal.
